Action CIND is a registered charity (# 781915293RR0001) dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by Chronic Immunological and Neurological Diseases (CIND) such as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia (FM) and Multiple Cheical Sensitivity/Environmental Sensitivities (MCS/ES). This is a work from home position which may require attendance at some special functions and presentations at networking events.

While not required, it is helpful to have knowledge of Chronic Immunological and Neurological Diseases (CIND) and the healthcare environment.



You will be responsible for managing and growing the organization to meet the needs of the CIND community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the founder/CEO and the Board to refine and implement the strategic plan while ensuring that the budget, staff and priorities are aligned with Action CIND’s core mission, vision and values

  • Has an understanding of the nature of CIND illnesses, symptoms and treatments and keeps abreast of research and developments in the industry

  • Develops and implements strategic plans, programs, services and fundraising to support the organization and help it to grow and succeed

  • Manage and uphold organizational bylaws to ensure appropriate legal and ethical compliance at all levels

  • Implements and maintains a strategic fundraising plan and work to ensure a steady income stream

  • Provides guidance, leadership, motivation and training for the entire team

  • Manages financial resources of the company to ensure operational effectiveness

  • Explores mergers, acquisitions and other ways to expand the company operations

  • network with organizations across Canada and worldwide

  • assist with maintaining charitable status

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a strategic marketing plan

  • Attracting strong candidates to join our team

  • identify and implement more benefits for our supports and volunteers

  • this position is open to anyone residing in Canada and is primarily a work from home position

Knowledge of CIND illnesses and Volunteer Management will be an asset.

You are an independent and self-starter who can also work as part of a virtual team.



This position requires a minimum 1 year commitment.

We do ask that you sign our volunteer contract and code of conduct which stipulates you will give 2 weeks’ notice if you wish to move on. We hope you stay!


Start Date

As soon as possible.



This is a work from home position. You will be required to attend a monthly board meeting and an Executive Team weekly meeting via a conference call. You will also be a keynote speaker at our annual May 12th International Awareness Day event or other events to be determined.



There are over 2 million Canadians impacted by the illnesses we support. Your assistance will help us to be able to do more for these people. This position will give you the opportunity to be part of a significant effort that improves the lives of CIND patients, their families, friends and caregivers.It's a longer term position and requires a commitment of at least one year.  We hoping to add more tangible benefits in the near future.
