Description

At Safehaven, we deliver respite and residential care that not only exceeds medical standards, but is non-institutional and fun. With extensive recreational programming, highly trained staff and modern home-like facilities, we deliver everything an individual needs to live a bright and rewarding life. Our residential and respite care programs provide round-the-clock care, 365 days a year, for a wide-range of individuals including those living with cerebral palsy, genetic and seizure disorders, vision loss, and hearing impairment. We are looking for friendly, approachable and young at heart and genuinely willing to engage with and learn from participants with varying needs. We want someone that is willing to engage kids with developmental and medical needs on 1:1 or small group activities such as playing games, hand over hand crafts, community outings, reading or playing instruments

All volunteers must be able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check (if over 18 years of age) and complete our Medical Certificate by your physician
