Rise Asset Development (Rise) is a registered charity providing low interest small business loans, free training & mentorship to men and women with a history of mental health and addictions challenges who would like to start or grow a small business and who cannot access bank financing.
With offices throughout Ontario, Rise has helped launch or grow 250 businesses. Rise's founding partners are the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
Looking for a way to give back using your professional skills? Look no further!
Rise is actively seeking volunteer small business mentors (with marketing, business development, finance or entrepreneurial backgrounds; 6+ years experience) to support Rise entrepreneurs as they start and grow their businesses.
Mentors provide business advice, encouragement and support to help Rise entrepreneurs remain focused on what is important for the success of their business. Mentor commitment is to meet with their mentee once per month over 12 months.
If you want to use your business skills to give back, empathize with individuals who have faced mental health and addiction challenges and want to support aspiring entrepreneurs, then Rise wants you!
Please note that candidates must have at-least 6 years of post graduate work experience. Only those selected will be contacted.
