Short Term Project
ACCESS Volunteer Opportunity – Branding/Graphic Designer
ACCESS Community Capital Fund (ACCESS) is a registered charitable organization that gives everyone in our community the opportunity to reach their full potential through sustainable employment and self-employment. We work with clients across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).
We use a micro-finance, social impact approach. Applicant loans are evaluated using a character-based lending model. Our clients include visible minorities, newcomers, women and others that face barriers to realizing their goals of meaningful employment. We also support clients through our coaching program and offer workshops and webinars on financial management and entrepreneurship.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit a creative designer to assist us with a branding project. The re-branding will allow us to better reflect our role in changing the course of our clients’ lives. As many loan recipients are caught in the cycle of not having good credit, or the ability to build wealth, our services provide the opportunity for a better life.
Responsibilities will include preparing:
A logo or wordmark that incorporates our new brand directions.
A brand palette
Providing suggestions for typography heading and body styles
Related Skills & Experience
Strong design skills
Creativity and good problem solving skills
Good communication skills
Experience with branding design would be an asset
Short term. This is a virtual role. Project meetings will be held virtually and are coordinated based on agreed upon project timelines.
The Volunteer Experience at ACCESS
Volunteers are important members of the ACCESS team helping us to achieve our mission. We offer a range of rewarding opportunities where you can make a difference to the success of our clients, special projects and program initiatives.
Some of our opportunities require longer term commitments and others are project/outcome specific. Openings depend on current needs and priorities. We are always pleased to have a conversation to discuss opportunities at ACCESS. ACCESS is committed to diversity on our team and we welcome applications from individuals who have relevant work and/or lived experience.
If you’re interested in helping us shape a new look for ACCESS (or you know someone who may be a good fit), please contact Michael Fliess, Coordinator of Volunteer Engagement at firstname.lastname@example.org
